2008 Beijing Olympic Games

I would like to talk about the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games
As we know the Olympic Games already Finnish but we discuss how much for the china government spend for the Olympic Games, and it’s really can bring good effect for the china economic and the Chinese people,
A total of an estimated US$42 billion were spent on the 2008 Olympic games in Beijing, making it the most expensive games ever; the British Olympic Association has announced that no more than US$19 billion will be spent on the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, while the 2000 Sydney Olympics and 2004 Athens Olympics cost US$7 billion and US$15 billion respectively.
From the data we can see how much the china government spend for the Olympic games, British only want to spend US$19 billion for the Olympic and the 2000sydeny onympic,2004 Athens Olympics cost are US$7 billion and US$15 .
Why the Chinese government spend huge number of money for the 2008 Olympic Games. Where the money came from, I think everybody know where the money come from its came from the china’s people.
In my opinion china government want to show the whole world, and its want to prove china is very big country and also very strong.
Yes actually the Olympic boring to a lot of opportunity for the china but compare with the US$42 billion I think its not enough for prove why china government spend more than US$42 billion for the Olympic.
Economic in china during the Olympic time the entire price are going up and the Chinese need to spend a lot of money buy the same product.

Current Condition of Chinese sport shoes market
China is one of the biggest sport shoes production bases in the world, most international famous sport shoes brand had been settled down in China. Perfect shoes production chain, favorable production organization ability, lower labour force cost and skillful mechanic, all of above conditions have great temptation to every merchant. At the present time, the more alluring condition is huge Chinese market which will front for 2008 Olympic Games.

The Beijing Olympics certainly plays a very big role especially for the Chinese community in China. First things first, this is where China gets the big hit. They get to promote their country and their culture to the world to see. This is also the time where every organisation grabs the chance to advertise their brands and products like what Ceasar said for example like sport shoes. Not only spot shoes, but also all sport wears.
At the same time when the Olympic is going on, it also helps the China economy to increase with investors investing in the Olympics and foreign athlete and supporters spending their money in China. It was a big moment for China for hosting the 2008 Olympic games.

I heard when the Olympic was in Beijing, China government tried to improved the quality of life for Chinese citizens such as government ask their citizens to line up when they want to get up to the bus. China government also tried to clean up air and water pollution in china before and during Olympic by cleaned smog in China caused by car waste and vehicle therefore government had plans to remove 70 % of government vehicle and half private cars.

Let me first give the answer of this question: how Chinese Olympic led the world to the financial crisis? It is easy; it was the only factor which converts the people’s mind sets to every thing except the economy, that’s why the world slides in to the crisis with 1 year dely. And now your answer, the 40 billion US$ which spent for this event governs the gained hatch which has estimated. The issue is that, whether the scenario is going on the right track as it has defined or what?!?!!?

1.Current Condition of Chinese sport shoes market
China is one of the biggest sport shoes production bases in the world, most international famous sport shoes brand had been settled down in China. Perfect shoes production chain, favorable production organization ability, lower labour force cost and skillful mechanic, all of above conditions have great temptation to every merchant. At the present time, the more alluring condition is huge Chinese market which will front for 2008 Olympic Games. Mature Adidas, athletic Nike, fashion LiNing, these are famous sport shoes brand visualize in China. In Chinese customers’ eyes Adidas’s visualize is a mature man, Nike is a young athlete, Nike have more market quotient than Adidas in China inland, and most customers think that LiNing brand’s visualize prolocutor is still LiNing. With the approaching of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, more and more Chinese customers attend in various of sports, and the professional demand to athletics equip is advancing. It can be seem from the future developing current, sport shoes market will be more fractionized, and fractionize not only involve new empolder market which brand concentrate comparatively rather low, but also involve original professional market, for example training sport shoes, with more fractionizing in service crowd, the blank of top professional product will be filled up. Chinese homemade sport shoes should stand in the base of serving for the masses customers and then develop professional products in various sports items, it will bring durative income accompany with boosting up customers’ professional incline. At the same time, with market competing more impetuosity, whether Chinese homemade sport shoes enterprises can hold the process of market fractionize, possess of more professional products following, and produce classical style sport shoes just like Nike’s jordan shoes, nike shoes, nike dunks, air force ones, air max, it’s the key for them to finally compete with international brand as Nike,Adidas. Internationalization course take more challenge to Chinese domestic enterprises, Internationalization is not as simple as export some merchandise, or set up several monopolization shops in overseas, but need enterprise store up from Internationalization team to a good many aspects.

How the olympic games affected the chinese people? hum, i'm not chinese, so i don't know!
What i can say is that it was a great game, with the chinese government trying to use it as a propaganda tool to show the world how good, big and developped china is. A proof of this is the record budget for the game.
It was a unique experience for the chinese, and they should be proud for the way they hosted the games.

First of all, it is the Games in a country of 1.3 billion people. It is something no other country can. It is also exceptional because of the quality of competitions; they had the biggest number of the world records ever in the Olympic Games. They had great performances. they have many national Olympic committees winning medals and many won the gold for the first time. They had an excellent organization. The venues are full with very positive and very warm crowds. And the weather is good. So it’s exceptional.

In the short term, the 2008 Olympic Games have been generally accepted by the world's media as a logistic success. Contrary to fears before the game, no terrorists struck Beijing; no athlete protested at the podium; and thanks largely to favorable weather conditions the city had the best air quality in ten years.
For the Chinese people, the Olympics itself, as well as the medals won by Chinese athletes, were a great source of national pride. The Olympics have also bolstered domestic support for the Chinese government, and support for the policies of the Communist Party of China, giving rise to concerns that the state will have more leverage to disperse dissent.
The long-term economic impact is not yet clear, but it is generally expected that there will be no lasting effect on the city due to the games.

The Beijing Olympics Games was awesome!!In my opinion, China have spend US$42 billion for the Olympic Games just to attract investors, tourists and people all over the world to visits China. As you said, China is a big country and they have big population. Therefore, the money that they spend is all from the citizen. Moreover,China is know as a 1st big manufacturer country whereby most of the foreign company have their manufacturer industry there. This is because, labor and resources are cheap in China. But who benefits the output? The government of course, from the taxation, exchange rate and exporting and importing. In my opinion, the government should have control their expenses and think of the effects after the Olympic Games to the country before spending US$42 billion.

I am agree with Eric, Chinese Olympic games ware fantastic. So far, it was the best Olympic games in the history. Chinese government has put a lot of effort to calm down the extremist or should I call them "nationalist" groups from the northern and north-eastern part of China. Also, the government had to manage and send rescue team to help the tragic earthquake victims which took hundred thousands of lives. Overall, the government did a good job despite the fact that there was a huge internal instability...

Cities who host the Olympic Games must commit to significant investments in sports venues and other infrastructure. It is commonly assumed that the scale of such and event and the scale of the preparation for it will create large and lasting economic benefits to the host city. Economic impact studies confirm these expectations by forecasting economic benefits in the billions of dollars. Unfortunately these studies are filled with misapplications of economic theory that virtually guarantee their projections will be large. Ex-post studies have consistently found no evidence of positive economic impacts from mega-sporting events even remotely approaching the estimates in economic impact studies. For the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, it appears China will take these massive investments in venues and infrastructure to a new level. If organizers of the Beijing Games base their expectations on economic impact studies from previous Olympics, they are sure to be disappointed. The potential for long term economic benefits from the Beijing Games will depend critically on how well Olympics related investments in venues and infrastructure can be incorporated into the overall economy in the years following the Games.

Watching the Beijing Olympic Games was just amazing looking at the latest technology used in the events especially the opening and closing ceremony. Here are some benefits that the host country can benefit from an event like the Olympics:

A major sporting event like the Olympics can attract 10,000s of people for the month of the duration. These foreign tourists bring a boost to the local economy. In particular the local tourist trade, shops / hotels will benefit from the surge in visitor numbers. However, it is worth noting that these visitor numbers tend to be temporary. The major sporting event only lasts for a few weeks; potentially there could be many empty hotel beds in the future. On the other hand people argue a major sporting event can lead to a long term growth in visitor numbers. e.g. China hopes that the Beijing Olympics will help create a new idea of China as a tourist destination. Barcelona saw higher visitor numbers continue after the Barcelona Olympics.

Typically, major sporting events require investment in building stadium and hotels. This creates jobs for the local economy for upto 4 years before the event. These extra jobs help create a positive multiplier effect amongst the local economy. It is hoped that the London Olympics will help regenerate the East end of London.

It is estimated that the ‘Olympics Effect’ leads to a boost in economic growth due to the higher investment and foreign visitors. This leads to higher tax revenues for the government

Personally, I think that Chinese people suck. Especially those do it all ones that somehow manage to get 4.0's in high school while simultaneously being captain of the tennis team. It's just not right, I mean the only thing we regular people have to beat them is the size of a certain male feature, which on all Chinese people is hilariously small.
